We have a lot of activities our school, because our school belongs to Finnish school’s on the move project. Through this, the school is trying to get students excited about exercise and joint activities. And each year, the school organizes a sports day in the Autumn and Spring, where each one chooses the activity they want and takes parts in that day. In addition to these, the city organizes football and floorball tournaments for Kuopio’s schools. Girls have their own tournament and boys their own.
Each class choses one student for the sudent’s group, where the student represents their own class and drives their own class things forward. They have also their own events that they organize.
Students have also a opportunity to be a student’s supporter.The idea of student’s supporters is to develope a good atmosphere for school. They focus on the seventh graders because they are new in the high school and they help them adapt. Students supporters make fun events mainly for the seventh graders, for example during the halloween ,they arrange a scare hall when they dress up in scary costumes, and try to scare the students. Most of the Seventh graders have always liked it .
School has also an international group , which is connected to others schools in Europe and
China. The international group prepared a welcome event for Chinese students and teachers in August, when they came to Finland. And they also organizes events for elementary school children.
